Devlog 1

I have spent the last few weeks researching AI and its impact on the creative process. After scouring articles, studies and journals across the web, I got to see many different sides of the story. A lot of studies found that even now, AI is getting so advanced that some people cannot tell AI generated works from humans made works. Obviously, this is a problem, as the line between AI and humans is fading. It is important to recognize what is human.

So, I propose a game that addresses this issue. I want the player to recognize the problem of not being able to differentiate between AI and human works by engaging in this experience. By giving them a choice on whether or not to use AI, they could experience different consequences. It could show the blurry moral line, and show both sides of the argument.

The game would center on the player trying to write different pieces of work. They have the choice to use AI or do it on their own. If the player manages to pull of AI as being their own work, they might feel guilty. This could be shown by a bar or meter of morality. If the player does it on their own, it might have mistakes or be incomplete. If they use Ai, they might not be telling the message they want. In all, there are lots of possibilities as to how the game could end.

In all, I think this message is important, and the game should cause the player to think.

I think it is a good idea to try to make a game about ai generated art. But my question is: is there a way to make the player realize the harm by using ai tools in the games except for the meter of morality? Like a way to punish the player or reflect it on other NPCs?

I think that having a challenge of making the player decide the morality between something hand made or by AI is best explored in a smaller scope kind of game. Having the player challenged by the tool of AI because of time constraints is a great way to have the player balance around it as well.
